Rosellas - Crimson, Green, and Eastern
These colourful parrots from Australia are in the genus Platycercus. The Green Rosella only lives in Tasmania, the Crimson is spread right across mainland Australia and the Eastern confines itself to the eastern half of the continent.
There are also Western, Northern, and pale-headed Rosellas. The latter is confined to the north-eastern part of the continent.
