Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, Kent, UK
The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway runs for 13½ miles, from the Cinque Port town of Hythe to the National Nature Reserve of Dungeness. There are also stations at Dymchurch New Romney, and Romney Sands. Known as “Kent’s Mainline in Miniature”, this one-third full size railway started life back in 1927, It carries commuters to work and children to school, and was used as part of England's defences in the second world war. It is a must ride for anyone visiting the south east coast of England.
