Tamworth, NSW
Tamworth is known as the Country Music (CM) capital of Australia due to a huge CM festival held for 10 days in mid to late January each year. Tamworth is known for its' 'Big Golden Guitar' where there is also the 'Gallery of Stars Wax Museum' and 'the National Guitar Museum'. Unfortunately the famous 'Country Music Hall of Fame' was closed due to Covid-19, but there are many other features relating to CM around Tamworth.
The Oxley Lookout, named after an early explorer of the district, John Oxley, was a great spot to get a panorama of the city and also to watch the sunset.
