Napier, NZ 2013
Napier is New Zealand's capitol when it comes to Art Deco Architecture. A huge earthquake, followed by a raging fire, destroyed much of the city in 1931. The rebuild was therefore done in the architectural style of the day, Art Deco.
It was wet and windy the day we were there, hence the cruise ship that couldn't dock. Apparently it is often like that in Napier.
