Wildlife 'cruise' from Mallaig
Our Jacobite steam train trip, (See separate Gallery) stopped in Mallaig, which is a fishing harbour in Lochaber, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. While there we had time to take a one hour 'wildlife' cruise around Loch Nevis. Fortunately the weather was fine for most of the trip, but unfortunately we did not see much 'wildlife'. We did have a fantastic view of the rugged, yet peaceful, Scottish highland coast.
We had a rather heavy downpour, but that resulted in a spectacular rainbow, which made the whole trip worthwhile.
Back at Mallaig we had some great fish and chips for tea, before the return trip to on the Jacobite steam train to Fort William.
