Arthur River, Couta Rocks, Kanunnah Bridge
Our first night on the West Coast, after leaving Stanley, was spent at Arthur River. The town is situated at the mouth of the Arthur River. As well as the river, the town is famous for a lookout called 'The Edge of the World', where you get a good view of the west coast and the Southern Ocean. If you set sail from here, traveling west of course, the first land you will see is Argentina. The sea was calm the day we were there but often it is not safe to get too close to the water. The Kanunnah Bridge crosses the Arther River, and marks the start of the Tarkine Drive.
