Huon Valley, Recherche Bay & Cockle Creek

From Bruny Island we traveled south down the Huon Valley to Recherche Bay and then on to the southern most point of Tasmania (by Road) Cockle Creek. We camped there overnight before returning back up the Huon to Geeveston via the Hastings Caves (See next Gallery)

There were many unusual 'buildings' along the Cockle Creek Road, but this beat them all!
D'Entrecasteaux Watering Place, now a Historic Site.. The crew of the French expedition under the command of Bruni D'Entrecasteaux obtained water from a small creek here in 1793
