Vale of Rheidol Rly. & Devil's Bridge Falls
From Brecon we continued north to the Vale of Rheidol Railway and Devil's Bridge Falls. The VoR railway is a narrow gauge line that runs from Aberystwyth, on the coast, to Devil's Bridge and the Devil's Bridge Falls . We took the train from Devil's Bridge to Aberystwyth and return.
After the train, we descended into Devil's Bridge Gorge to see the falls. This is a difficult walk. With 675 steep, uneven, natural stone steps. Unfortunately there had not been much rain so the waterfalls, of which there are a number, were not looking their best. But it was still worth the effort
We ended the day a little further north at Tywyn, on the coast at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park.
