Brim, Beulah & Jeparit
Brim, Beulah & Jeparit are small country towns in the Wimmera Mallee district, some 350km west of Melbourne.
The huge Brim Silo Art, painted by Artist Guido van Helten in 2016, was the first of many Silo Art installations now in the Wimmera Mallee.
Each of these towns, like most in the region, has seen its population decline over the last 50 years and have looked for ways to attracting tourists, as well as new residents. Beulah has a number of murals, Jeparit has established a square and a spire marking the fact that Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies grew up in the town. Near Jeparit is Lake Hindmarsh which, when it has water in it, is a holiday camping and boating attraction. Currently there is no water!
