Rosebery Silo, Hopetoun & Lake Lascelles
Rosebery is on the Henty Hwy about 325kn NW of Melbourne. At the last census, in 2016, it had a population of 5. The Rosebery silo was painted by Female Artist Kaff-eine, in 2017. Hopetoun is 15km further north. Once again it is easy to see the wealth that once existed, but also the perseverance of the early settlers who eventually tamed the land to make it. Just 500mt from the town is Lake Lascelles which is a great picnic, camping and boating area. There is paid (with power0 and free camping around the lake and good facilities, including hot showers.
